David McMackins' Personal Plot of the Interwebs
I write stuff here when I feel like it.
This will be the first of many future updates about my personal life. I figure it’s been a bit long since I had any good news. The past month hasn’t been too interesting for me, but it’s nice to look back at recent events and assure myself that I haven’t just been rotting away for a month.
The GPL receives a significant amount of criticism for the way it claims to be a free software license yet imposes a number of restrictions and requirements upon the users and developers of GPL software.
A few weeks ago, my classmate wanted something better for her laptop. She was complaining about how slow it was while we were working in the lab together. I idly bragged about “what I could do with a computer,” and she asked how much I would charge to fix hers up.
